WHO WE ARE
WHO WE ARE
Bethel Community Church began on December 7th, 1988 as God led a group of 50 people to begin a new work in the City of Barrie. These people had a keen concern for the authority of the Bible, and a desire to found a new church which would believe and put into practice God’s Word, both in individual lives and in our corporate life as a church.
The founding members of Bethel also had aspirations to fulfill the great commission of our Lord, to go and make disciples of Jesus. With Bethel moving into its current facility on 128 St. Vincent Street on September 11th, 2005 the Lord has clearly called us to the Codrington-Downtown community to make genuine disciples of Jesus. Bethel remains committed to teaching the Bible, to loving the Lord passionately and to helping people become like Christ in loving others as Jesus loves us.
